Position: Director of Financial Aid
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Responsibility summary:
A local college is seeking a highly qualified Director of Financial Aid to work in a fast paced, high customer service environment who will be responsible for the overall operation of the Financial Aid department and programs including, (1) supervision of department staff including hiring, training and delegation of work assignments; (2) liaison with all State and Federal agencies; and, (3) the preparation and distribution of all Financial Aid materials. This individual will also be responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of all sources of Financial Aid to students.

Responsibilities:
· Recruit, supervise, and oversee training of the financial aid staff
· Oversee Title IV federal student financial aid programs as well as state and alternative loans.
· Maintain compliance with financial aid regulatory requirements as it pertains to federal, state, accrediting agencies and the Home Office
· Working closely with DOA and Admissions staff to deliver cohesive, consistent financial planning experience for new students – ability to finance the dream
· Work closely with education, registrar, and student accounts/business office team

Qualifications:
· 5 or more years experience in Title IV federal student financial aid
· Management experience is required
· Proficiency in verification and student eligibility criteria
· Excellent customer service and organizational skills
· Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
· Computer knowledge is recommended, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
